The Chioggia beet, are commonly referred to as a 'candycane' or a 'bullseye' beet due to its striking red and white stripes.
The Chioggia produces medium sized roots that are slightly flattened and have an exceptionally sweet taste. The green tops can be harvested and eaten raw or cooked.
